TRP offers a variety of benefits in a comprehensive package that can be customized by each team member to fit his or her needs. Below is a summary of those benefits:
Medical insurance is provided where the firm pays a majority of each team member’s premium. The employee portion, including any additional dependent or family coverage, is paid on a pre-tax basis.
Health reimbursement plan whereby the Firm subsidizes each covered employee’s deductible that exceeds $1,000 annually (based on policy period).
Employee paid dental insurance on a pre-tax basis.
Firm paid group term life insurance coverage of $25,000.
Firm paid long-term disability insurance.
Paid Time Off
15 days paid time off (PTO) per year is provided for all team members. PTO accruals begin on the date of employment. At least 5 consecutive days of PTO are required to be taken per year. In addition, a maximum of 5 days PTO can be carried over to a subsequent year. Managers are allowed 20 days PTO annually.
Blackout periods where no PTO time can be taken occur during busy season and prior to other filing deadlines during the year. The specific blackout periods are as follows:
Upon each team member’s 5 year anniversary with the Firm, PTO time will begin to accrue at 20 days per year.

Flexible Spending Account
The Flexible spending account allows team members to contribute a portion of their salary on a pre-tax basis to cover the costs of out-of-pocket medical expenses and/or dependent care.
Eligible team members can defer a portion of their income to our 401(k) plan. The firm matches 50 percent of each employee’s deferral on the first 4 percent of compensation after six months of employment.
Incentive Pay and Bonuses
Incentive pay of 20% of cash receipts for the first engagement year is paid to all team members who attract clients to the Firm.
A $3,000 bonus is paid for passing the CPA exam while employed with the Firm. Eligibility for this bonus is extended to recent college graduates who begin employment with the Firm upon graduation and who meet certain other requirements.
Flexible Work Schedule
Flextime is allowed during the year from April 15th through November 15th for all professional team members. Team members are allowed to work up to 9 hours per day Monday through Thursday and are expected to work no less than 4 hours on Friday. Team members are expected to work during the core business hours of 8:30am to 4:30pm Monday through Thursday and 8:30 to 11:30 on Fridays during these months. During these months, all team members are required to take a minimum 30 minute lunch.
The Firm pays for continuing professional education for all professional accounting team members.
Professional Association Memberships
The Firm pays for memberships in the North Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants (NCACPA) for all professional team members and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) for certified professional accounting team members.
Complimentary beverages and snacks are provided at all office locations.
Periodic Firm outings and functions (i.e. golf tourney, bowling tourney, etc.)
