Phone scams become more prevalent around tax deadlines, so please be on the look out. One Simple Rule: The IRS will always send taxpayers a written notification of any tax due via the U.S. mail. The IRS never asks for credit card, debit card or prepaid card information. Should you receive a phone call demanding payment or any other request from someone claiming to be with the IRS please hang up and report the incident to the Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration at 1.800.366.4484. Always feel free to contact us for any concern or questions you have.
